Researchers Target Inflammatory Response in TNBC
Researchers from the University of California at San Francisco have had promising initial results on studies using a drug targeting an inflammatory response that help fuels triple negative breast cancer, using a $6.5 million grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Tests so far have been on mice, but researchers plan to do additional animal research and ultimately move to human subjects. Scientists on the project are Lisa Coussens, PhD, UCSF oncologist Hope Rugo, MD, and Shelley Hwang, MD, a surgical oncologist at Duke University. Read more here from UCSF.
